Wild Edible, Medicinal, and Poisonous Plants

Come learn about the plants of spring from a professional Horticulturist! There is something for everyone. This class is designed to stimulate your curiosity, while giving you tools to expand your learning. We will explore topics such as:

  • How to Identify Plants

  • Anatomy and Physiology

  • Hazards and Poisonous Plants

  • Edible, Medicinal, and Useful Traits (including soap, fire, rope, baskets and more)

  • How to Use Plants to Navigate

  • History and Tribal Uses

  • Seasons, Life Cycles and Survival Strategies

  • Effective Journaling (There will be an exercise committed to this)

This class is for ages 16 and up. Spaces are limited. Make sure to bring:

  • A snack and water

  • Paper and a writing utensil

$20 per person
